Muhyiddin Bin Haji Muhammad Yassin, born 15 May 1947) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia since March 2020. He served as the 10th Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs under former Prime Ministers Najib Razak and Mahathir Mohamad, from April 2009 to July 2015 and from May 2018 to February 2020 respectively. As a result of the ongoing 2020 Malaysian political crisis, Mahathir's abrupt resignation on 24 February 2020 led to a process where he was declared Prime Minister by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on 29 February 2020. He was later appointed and sworn in on 1 March 2020
